The mission of
“Building Young Men Bowtie Club” is to prepare young boys for the
challenges of becoming- men in society today. Everyday our young men are
pressured into making wrong or incorrect decisions that can lead to devastation
in their life. Our program is designed to educate and lead our young men to
reach their full potential as productive young, caring, and respectful men of
tomorrow.
what makes us different is because we are actually calling
all the men in the community to stand up .. we challenge what we call the hood
bosses to help us change their community ...even though we have the avenues of
the athletes and the senators and Council men.. but we wanted to make those in
the community responsible for the community.

2. Why did B.Y.M
start a basketball league?
We actually started a basketball league which is the start
of many programs. We strive to give children a way to get them off the street
and offer them extracuillar activities as a positive option. The league also
creates an outlet for the parents to become involved in the childs life. There creating
activity that not only benefits the
child but benefits the childs relationship with their parent.
3.Tell us about the 2nd
Annual Parade that B.Y.M. will be hosting on May 16,2015.
If so tell us about
them. Yes we have out 2nd Annual parade ... this parade was set up in the
beginning for the dads and men to grab a young boy and walk with them showing
them that we are here to show you the right way ... but it has evolved into
Women as well .... the paraded is May 16th .. so we invite all families to come
out .
4. What do you hope
that young men will gain from B.Y.M.? we hope that we can get them to
understand a sense of empowerment in themselves... a sense of wanting to be
different then what they see around them ... we want them to be able to go out
in this world and take what they have learned and pass it on to others .
