1. Tell us about the Save One Save a Generation Spring Brunch on May 2nd? Human trafficking is a form of modern slavery where people profit from the control and exploitation of others. Although slavery is commonly thought to be a thing of the past, human trafficking still exists today throughout the United States and globally. Traffickers often times use force, fraud, or coercion to control other people for the purpose of engaging in commercial sex or forcing them to provide labor services against their will.
Traffickers use violence, threats, deception, debt bondage, and other manipulative tactics to trap victims in horrific situations every day in America. All trafficking victims share one essential experience – the loss of freedom. We are hosting this event to raise awareness in Dallas, Texas. According to crimeblog.dallasnews.com Texas ranks No.2 for human trafficking crime in America. Our goal is to raise funds to build a Facility to house formally trafficked teen girls. The facility is also for sexually exploited women and children.

4. What tips can you give so that we can protect our children in the U.S.? The tips I would give is to monitor your children, monitor who they are communicating with on the web, know who their friends are there are teens recruiting teens and they look for the weakest link the most vulnerable. Be watchful in and around the neighborhood because your next door neighbor just could be a trafficker.
5. In other countries Human Trafficking is very prevalent and often times ignored. How does someone become an advocate to end this horrible form of slavery?
In order to become a Advocate for Human Trafficking you must first become educated on the subject; so that you can educate others. Then you must become involved in your community by speaking up and spreading awareness about this epidemic. This is not just a issue that plagues the United States this is a issue that plagues communities worldwide.
