When it comes to child actors and models we believe that behind every successful child is a great mom.We often see child models on television commercials, on  websites and in sales ads advertising the latest trends.  Sometimes we forget that those kids have parents, who are often very involved with their career. This is the story of Renee Young, the manager of her daughters modeling and acting career. 

Renee Young is a single mother of two and admits that being a momanager is definitely a juggling act. Although she lives a fast paced life, she always makes time for her family and friends. Being a momanager allows her to not only be involved with her daughter’s career but allows her to protect her daughter in such a harsh industry.  

Renee understands that the fashion industry can be stressful and demanding for any model. This is the very reason why she remains by her daughters side through the process. Her presence can be seen at photo shoots, go sees, and casting calls. She is the consistency that her daughter needs in such a fast paced industry. There is nothing like having a loving, business minded mother on you side twenty four hours a day. Renee's commitment to her daughters career is pro-founding.




 She doesn't lose focus due to the hustle and bustle of the fashion industry. However working in such a fast paced industry can have it's ups and downs. Often times in the fashion industry doors don't open fast enough. Renee says that" Patience is key! Network, network, network!  Audition, then forget about it until you get the call.  You can’t dwell on each job."

This momanager not only teaches her daughter patience but she teaches her not to dwell on opportunities. Renee is definitely combining her motherly love with being a business woman to ensure the right life skills are deposited into her child. Renee puts family first and by doing this she not only ensures the success of her daughter career but the success of a close nit family. To get awesome tips from Renee check out her interview below!

As a single mom how do you balance your children’s career? Do you have a lot of support from your friends and family?

Autumn’s success comes before my success. To me, being a successful mother is raising successful children. It takes patience and a strong will to be able to help your child become successful in the industry.  Our friends and family are Autumn’s  #1 supporters and we wouldn’t be where we are without them – Autumn has the best support group behind her for everything she does.

If you could change one thing about the modeling industry what would it be and why?

I would change the height limit – it’s certainly a challenge and a demanding industry, but I feel it should be a case by case scenario.

If you could pick one word to describe you, what would it be and why?

Determined – I am determined to help both my kids do whatever it is they wish to do.

What is the most exciting part about being a momanager?

Watching my daughter become more and more successful is what makes me the happiest.

What is the hardest part about being a single mom in the fashion industry?

I can’t be everywhere I need to be at all times – it’s definitely a juggling act!

If you could pick any agency for Autumn, which would it be and why? What steps are you taking to help her reach this goal?

For us, it’s not about the agency, it’s about having fun, working and making new friends along the way. We are constantly scouting jobs, networking, practicing and auditioning for both model and acting opportunities.
