Woman check out the interview below!
1. Tell us the meaning behind the name P.F.W.?
Power
Forward Woman embodies the spirit of being able to power our way forward
regardless of the obstacles and roadblocks that we may encounter. As
women we have to juggle so many things on a daily basis and sometimes place our
goals on the back burner, but I want women across America to know that we don't
have to do that. As they say it takes a village to raise a child, I
believe that it takes a strong sisterhood to enable our sisters the confidence
to be able to reach for their personal and professional goals.
2. How many states are you currently operating in?
How did you spread P.F.W. so fast in such a short amount of time?
We
currently operate in TX, VA, LA, and soon CA. We were able to spread the
word so fast due to the fact that I am in the military and able to network with
woman from around the globe. In addition to being in the military we also
host a series of events designed around networking with women and in the
community.
3. What inspired you to create this organization?
Over
the past years, the networking events went from starting as an organization to
becoming a Power Forward Woman Movement! This miraculous Movement encompasses a
group of women dedicated to reaching common goals, becoming empowered,
empowering others while growing in number and in deeds. The Power Forward Woman
Movement was created on the premise that women across America would be given
the opportunity to network and share their inspiring stories. We strive to
bring women together from around the globe in an effort to build strong relationships
and support systems to achieve their goals.
4. What is the process for joining P.F.W.
In
order for someone to join as a member they must submit an application for
screening to be sure they are a right fit for our organization. Once
their application is approved an annual membership fee of $100 is due.
Members can also join under Chapter Leaders in the Dallas, Texas area.
