Jermaine Jackson: Christian Rap Artist

Jermaine Jackson
Raised in the east Texas area, Jermaine Jackson used to be a lost young man with dreams of making it big.
"Low on self-esteem and basically just trying to fit in, I finally hit rock bottom. In 2003, I truly met Jesus Christ and my life completely turned around. A new found relationship with God, a beautiful family, and a call to ministry thru preaching, music, acting, I now use every talent God has allowed me to express His message to the world." Proverbs 3:5-6

Jermaine has never really "fit in" with others so instead of trying to be someone he's not he decided to create a place for him to fit in. He said that God created him the way he is and plans to minister in his ways using his God given talents.

Jermaine is set to release his newest album, HUMAN, around mid June 2016.
This, being his third studio album, is expected to be one the most powerful releases of the year.

Jermaine explains this album by the following quote "This project deals with the reality of being a believer. The different things we go through, just like one who doesn't believe in or accept Jesus Christ, honestly expressed with no sugar coating or mask... The thing is in how we respond to those situations... This is what HUMAN is all about. Real people trusting a real Savior."

Jermaine is also known for ministering through speaking, acting, prayer and a multitude of other gifts allowed him by God within his local community. With an Associates Degree in Christian Psychology, he is currently pursuing his Bachelors at Texas Institute of Biblical Studies in Gladewater, Texas. He serves as the Souljahs of Christ Captain of the Longview Chapter in the East Texas area. To learn more about Souljahs of Christ click on the following link  www.souljahsofchrist.com

How would you describe your style of music?
My music is very edgy. I feel that as a poet, one should wrap the listener in the lines. Opening eyes to what is being conveyed. I want to infect the mind with a real view of Jesus, as one who met Him at the lowest point of life. Throughout several ranges and style dynamics, He will be seen on every level.

How did you find your style/ swag?
I believe I realized my style once I started spending more time In the studio. I always wrote from that unique perspective, but as I grew more comfortable in my sessions, my personality began to flow into the sound. Appearance wise, I hate looking like someone else!!! I dress relaxed, but I love standing out!!! Don't be surprised to see me rocking a tie-dye t-shirt at a show!!!

Do you believe that it is important to live a healthy lifestyle as an entertainer?
It is very important to live healthy as an entertainer! Personally, I have faced issues concerning being out of shape and performing. The attitudes projected in what I do can be demanding on my physical condition, so it has truly become more important to me. If I can't do what I was created to do, I have no purpose...

What country would you like to perform in and why?
I would truly love to perform in China and/or Japan simply because of the culture. I will always preach the Gospel of Christ no Matter where I go, hands down, but to experience the traditions and lifestyles of their lands has been a personal dream of mine.

What would you like for us to know about you?
One thing about me... I am seriously goofy!! I enjoy the smiles of those around me so I let it all hang out!!! Responsibly of course!!!

Whenever you feel like quitting what motivates you to keep going?
When I feel like giving up, I simply listen to my songs... They remind me of the gift God has given me. My prayers are articulated through each song I make. I am reminded of the mission, and with that, the realization that I'm not really that important... My life belongs to God..., and I live because of Jesus Christ... Period.

What are your top three performances?
Of my performances, the top three I would say are:
    1. The CMA National Rally of 2015 where I along with three other artists and friends performed for 2700+ people. The biggest show of my career.
    2. The Master's Blend in Carthage, Texas. That was my first time performing at a coffee shop. The laid back atmosphere and vibe allowed me to experience God open a new facet of who I am as an artist.
    3. Last, but certainly not least, was a small church deep in the country woods where I grew up. I can't even remember the name of it... It was there when I performed my first cd, Love For Dirt. Funny thing was that I would introduce each song by ministering on what it meant to me. Little did I know, that moment would shape my ministry as a whole.

Do you have any events coming up?
I am actually booked every weekend in April but one!! My scheduled events can also be found on my website.

What is your social media / contact information.
My website is www.dreamaliveart.com. Through there you can get to all my social media sites.
